A “Sense” of Family
Four Bayrou generations, all Compagnon carpenters and joiners succeeded each other in the company since 1890. Gradually, they built the unique stamp of “Chalets Bayrou”.
The same spirit animates the men of talent and know-how of today.
Their expertise on larch wood and their love of noble materials have become a reference in Briançon in Switzerland, including Mégève.

A family and Compagnon story



1890
Ferdinand Bayrou father and sons, carpenters Compagnon du Devoir tradesmen founded the Bayrou company in Briançon.
1953
Paul Bayrou, Compagnon carpenter becomes part of the company following his Tour de France and specifically develops chalets.
2010
Chalets Bayrou expanded their business to Switzerland, opening new offices in Lutry and then finally put down roots in Valais, by Lac Léman and Geneva.


2011
Following Alain Bayrou’s death, Anne Bayrou, Alain’s spouse and collaborator and Guillaume Lebigot, long-standing Compagnon carpenter and co-founder, take over the company.

2014
After 124 years in the heart of Briançon, Chalets Bayrou established itself on a new site nearby with workshops, offices, a showroom..to better serve you.


2015
Chalets Bayrou opened up offices in the “chalet resort” par excellence: Megève.

2016
A new side of Chalets Bayrou is developed, offering much more than a chalet: wooden houses, renovation, extensions, wood frame elevation… with the ever unique Chalets Bayrou stamp!
